Foreign Minister Pays Courtesy Call to Thai Prime Minister

Minister of Foreign Affairs Saleumxay Kommasith on Wednesday paid a courtesy call to Thai Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-ocha in Bangkok on the occasion of his working visit to Thailand

While talking with the host Prime Minister, Mr. Saleumxay conveyed regards of Prime Minister Thongloun Sisoulith to the Thai Prime Minister and informed the host about the results of the bilateral meeting between he and his Thai counterpart on Tuesday where Mr. Saleumxay expressed his willingness to work with the Thai Foreign Minister to encourage relevant organizations to implement the agreements reached by the leaders of the two countries to enhance the relations and cooperation between the two countries for the interests of the people in their respective countries.

The visiting minister also expressed gratitude to the Thai government for its cooperation and support for Laos in its hosting of the 49th ASEAN Foreign Ministers Meeting (AMM 49) and related meetings in Vientiane Capital last month.

The Thai Prime Minister also asked the visiting minister to convey his regards to Prime Minister Thongloun Sisoulith and considered Mr. Saleumxay’s visit a significant contribution to enhancing the ties and cooperation between the two neighbours Laos and Thailand.
