Chinese-invested Company Builds Primary School in Laos

A primary school built by Chinese-invested Jixiang cement factory in Lao central Khammouane province has been inaugurated in September, a representative of the company told Xinhua on Monday. Construction of the school started in 2015 with an investment of 120,000 US dollars, covering an area of 500 square meters with six classrooms, a well and two modern bathrooms.

The new primary school has helped improving the condition of teaching environment in the region.

Jixiang cement factory was put into operation in late 2015 under a project signed between China’s Yunnan Provincial Energy Investment Group and Lao Ministry of Planning and Investment. The factory has an investment of 120 million US dollars and designed capacity of one million tons a year.
