Indochina Bank Customer Increase

The number of VIP customers holding accounts at the Indochina Bank has seen a rapid increase this year. A bank executive revealed the figure at the annual VIP Appreciation Dinner last week, saying that from about 100 VIP customers in 2009, the number has now soared to more than 1,200 account holders.

The Managing Director of Indochina Bank Mr Tay Hong Heng said “Over the years, the bank has recorded continuous growth in VIP customers as can be evidenced from tonight’s turnout.”

Indochina Bank VIP Customer Numbers Steadily Growing

The steady growth of VIP customers is a clear indication that Indochina Bank delivers what it promises – superb, courteous and efficient service, Mr Tay said. The VIP appreciation party was held at the Landmark Riverside Hotel in Vientiane to thank all of the bank’s premier customers for their support.

The event attracted more than 1,200 corporate and retail premier customers. Indochina Bank Chairman Mr Oh Sei Young said “We are confident that the kind of support you have given us will continue to grow and that you will be confident enough to introduce more of your friends and relatives to start a banking relationship with us.”

Indochina Bank’s loan portfolio presently amounts to over US$485 million. This represents an increase of over 16 percent from the previous year of 2015. Total deposits too grew rapidly by 36 percent and now register at more than US$490 million.

The chairman said profitability showed remarkable progress of 28 percent and the Indochina Bank is confident of exceeding the US$10 million mark by the end of this year. The bank’s total assets are expected to reach US$657 million by the end of 2016, an increase of 27 percent against the corresponding year of 2015.

VIP Customers Provide Continued Support

Mr Oh Sei Young added that the much improved performance could be attributed to the continuous support given by VIP customers. In addition, the commitment by the management and staff coupled with the strong banking of shareholders made up the winning formula for the Indochina Bank. When you bank with Indochina Bank, you can be assured that we will continue to apply this winning formula for the continuous improved performance of the bank, he said.

“Flash Back Down Memory Lane” was this year’s theme with amazing decorations and performances associated with 1960s and 70s vintage style. Numerous items were given away in a lucky draw at the event.
