PM Thongloun receives Vietnam’s Deputy Prime Minister

Prime Minister Thongloun Sisoulith received in Vientiane Capital on July 22 a courtesy visit from Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Pham Binh Minh who is on a visit to Laos to attend the 49th ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Meeting and related meetings.  

At the amicable talks, Prime Minister Thongloun highly valued the visit to Laos by the Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister as a significant contribution to enhancing the longstanding friendly relationship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, governments and people of Laos and Vietnam.

Prime Minister Thongloun expressed gratitude to the Party, government and people of Vietnam for their constant provision of support and assistance to the Party, government and people of the Lao PDR.

The host and guest also spoke highly of the growing relations and cooperation between the Parties, governments, and people of the two countries.

The Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister expressed his belief that the leadership of the Party and government and the strong solidarity among Lao people will result in the successful hosting and chairing of the 49th ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Meeting and related meetings.
