Laos, Vietnam to Boost Cooperation in Organisation Affairs

Laos and Vietnam have agreed to boost the cooperation between their Party Central Committees’ Organisation Commissions over the next five years (2016-2020) in order to strengthen the traditional friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.

The agreement on cooperation between the two commissions was signed in Vientiane on Monday between Head of the Lao Organisation Commission, Mr. Chansy Phosikham and Secretary of the Vietnamese Party Central Committee and Head of the Party Central Committee’s Organisation Commission, Mr. Pham Minh Chinh.

The document was signed on the occasion of a working visit to the Lao PDR by Mr. Pham Minh Chinh and his delegation from August 28 to September 1.

This agreement followed the ending of the five-year (2011-2015) cooperation agreement signed between the commissions.

On the same day, Mr. Pham Minh Chinh, along with his delegation, paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Thongloun Sisoulith in Vientiane, where both sides highlighted the significance that cooperation has contributed to deepening the friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.

At the talk, Prime Minister Thongloun offered a warm welcome and highly valued the working visit of Mr. Pham Minh Chinh and his delegation to the Lao PDR.

Mr. Pham Minh Chinh expressed appreciation to Prime Minister Thongloun for the warm welcome extended to him and his delegation and also informed his host of the objectives of his working visit to Laos.
